Application Support Specialist - Calgary, AB

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Application Support Specialist responsibilities include providing necessary support to employees relating to various software applications. The Application Support Specialist will also communicate required enhancements to software vendors and manage trouble ticket portals. They also manage procedural documentation pertaining to software applications use and administration tasks.


ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage the Application Software Support helpdesk;
  • Manage software vendor support ticket portals
  • Provide training and documentation to users regarding any software updates
  • Administrator of Company Operations Manual
  • Participate in software user groups to influence enhancements to vendor software
  • Manage user access
  • Prepare and maintain reporting for project and auditing purposes
  • Perform various Administrative Tasks

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Education and Experience

  • College diploma or university degree in the field of Information Technology or equivalent combination of education and years of relevant experience
  • Familiarity with project management and ability to prioritize and multitask
